Money Minder 101

We have been using some of  the Aquasana brand water filters, one for our kitchen and one for our shower, but decided to go all out and get the whole house filtration system. They call it the Rhino EQ-300 whole house filter.  This filter is more expensive ($800) but lasts three years and of all of the whole house filters that we did our research on what filter was the most effective and least expensive of the bunch. There are so many wonderful Juniper bonsai that it’s hard to pick a favorite, but for many people it would have to be the Shimpaku Juniper.  One name I only recently heard applied to this tree is “Smoke of the Volcano”, apparently given in recognition of the strong swirling trunk growth.  The other name by which this tree is known is Sargents Juniper.  Regardless what you call it, this Shimpaku Juniper with its twisting, reddish trunk and wonderful, flat, cedar-like foliage is a splendid addition to any bonsai collection.
